Hardly noticeable,
tiny flowers:
if the sawflies don’t arrive and munch
(none came last year, so hopefully
no cocoons in the soil
– must remember to put down
some newspaper underneath to hinder),
a harvest of sharp juicy
gooseberries in August.

gosh, you are much further ahead than here - the leaves have only just started! I didn't know about the newspaper thing, will try that, thankyou for the tip:0) Hope you are wellxxx

Thank you, Di. Had a bit of a cold, and husband a bad throat, enough to have to self-isolate, but nearly over now. Missed you around, hope you are OK. Not sure about the newspaper thing, but I know it was suggested by someone one year, and we didn't have the trouble, but really only had one bad year with them anyway.
