Watching Raindrops

Plip! plop!
watch the water drop
from the low rooftop
concentric ripples
in the puddle
spreading wavelets smooth …
sight and sounds that soothe …
One, two, three, four …
gone, but more,
then more …
count the drops
as each plops,
count the rings
emerge and surge
disappear,
again appear …
circles interlocking,
mesmerising dreamy rocking,
lulling lullaby.
