The Fubalon

I’ve seen a brown bear in the woods
And a polar bear on ice,
I’ve seen rats and cats and squirrels,
Voles and moles and mice.
I’ve been chased by armadillos,
Swam with hippos in a lake.
I’ve seen elephants stampeding,
And I’ve tripped over a snake.
I’ve seen a crazy horse,
And stroked a wombats fur.
I’ve upset a cranky crocodile,
And made a tiger purr.
I’ve spied a tiny terrapin,
And a huge grey whale at sea.
I’ve seen monkeys swinging in the trees,
And a dog that winked at me.
I’ve seen a zebra crossing,
A rooster roosting too.
A fruit fly flying a lion lying,
And a spider in my shoe.
But one animal I haven’t seen,
That isn’t on my list,
Is the longhaired garden fubalon,
Perhaps they don’t exist.
