Fossas go to mass at Xmas
*Ghiga’s goats all act so vicious

Hawaii coots do hoot a lot
*Ibis do stalk cooks a lot

Jackdaws might stash glitz stuff
Kiwis fight off bum-fluff

Lamas ill with CJD
Mastiff claws back VAT

Owls attack a black QC
*Quokka gets a *GCB

Shih-Tzu walks to Timbuktu
Toad succumbs to bout of flu

*Uguisus hatch a load of chicks
*Vaquita blows a lass a kiss

Wombat halts a Faldo cut
X – Z...I’m good as fxxxxd.

*Ghiga – A Scottish island
*Ibis – A deer-like creature
* GCB – Knight/Dame Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath
*Quokka – A marsupial similar to a wallaby
*Uguisus – A tiny Japanese bird (its guano used in face-cream)
*Vaquita – Similar to a porpoise
*Fossa – A relative of the mongoose unique to Madagascar

PT - quite a challenge this, and I'm only relieved it is done and dusted. I shan't be doing another in a long time. I wouldn't have believed it could have been so arduous and thoroughly frustrating. Mind you...it does get that old 'grey matter', churning around, so I suppose that's not a bad thing;-) So pleased you enjoyed and I really appreciate your telling me;-) Have a super Sunday. I'm snowed in at present so I hope the weather is better where you are. Tina;-)

Speaking of 'tiddly-pom' I watched a funny short film when I was a student. It started with a man with a close shaved head in an orange robe emitting a very prolonged 'Ommmmm', and I automatically assumed that he was a Hari-Krishna cultist meditating. The camera carefully draws out and it becomes clear that the 'omm' is the hum of a barber's electric trimmer and the man is having his head shaved even closer - and all of a sudden he says 'Tiddly-pom!'

I don't know what the IP is, I'd guess alaphabetical stuff? Great stuff.

Hi there, celtic. Many thanks for your interest. Yes, alphabetical is spot on. The challenge is to write a story or poem, but you musn't use the letters, E,R,N,P, or Y. It really is difficult...almost impossible, but I have to say, it's great fun, if you like that sort of thing, that is;-) Pleased you enjoyed my attempt, anyway.

Been away, offline for a long weekend, and came back and saw this IP and thought, don't think I'll try that, and was amused at your 'take', and only realised how hard it was when, not feeling too special, I sat down and started idly fiddling. Everytime I did a 'search' for r or e or n etc, I couldnt believe how many were still lurking! Rhiannon

Rhiannon, I know exactly what you mean. It is unbelievably difficult. Excluding 'e' means you can't use the word 'the', and excluding the 'n', means you can't have the word, 'and'. That in itself is almost impossible. So pleased you enjoyed, and going back to what you said, it took me three attempts at posting this, because each time I did, I noticed an errant, 'y' or 'p'...etc. Tina
