I've been desperate to get a poem on abc tales today,

ever since I found out it was National Poetry Day, but

couldn't come up with one, so I decided to put a poem

on that I put in a birthday card for my partner.

 

Sorry if its embarrassing to read.

 

 

 

 

The Day You Came Into My Life

 

All my problems disappear

the moment that you are near,

 

your love fell in to my soul

that's when I became whole...

 

an Angel came to this earth

the moment your mum gave birth,

 

now as I write this card I say

I hope you're always here to stay.

Hi Shannon,  you know you're certainly right about being blessed...I count my lucky stars every day that I've found my soul mate.  What beautiful words in your comment,  the idea of love being a glorious pool of inspiration for the soul.  I think you're definitely right and you know one of the things I love about my partner,  is he always gives me time to create,  not just in writing but in all my other hobbies too.  This is so important for me.  Thank you for taking the time to read and comment for which I'm always grateful.  Jenny.
