Heart Shaped Kisses

Slowly beckoning
a wounded light...
working its way
down the corridors
of the make believe,
ever searching as
butterfly kisses
dance across milky,
white satin skin...
sudden shivers,
a brief passing...
like a secret
fugitive fleeting
then vanishing...
hands reaching
to touch those
dimpled cheeks,
diminutive they
may be...though
irresistible to the
sensitive touch...
reminiscence
masquerades
as imposters,
deceiving...
leaving jumbled
recollections...
wishing for more.
Let her not melt,
dissolve in this
patchwork of
reflections...
this brooding
mistaken reverie...
thought should
be given to the
here and now,
as in the twilight
a shadowy, dark
figure, her man,
a devoted sweetheart,
that pillar
of strength,
is gently
breathing,
like the
ebb and
flow of the
oceans tide,
wave upon
tidal wave,
this is what
matters, the
significance
of who she
would be now!
Her lips
meet his
tenderly,
with those
heart shaped
kisses, meant
for only him.
