We'll be roastin up a hog
yer can do a hoe down jig,

If yer bring with yer some gal
that'll be just fine aswell,
but there be plenty here that's swell
ter feast yer eyes upon aswell,

We has a special guest tonight
it be 'Sea Sick Steve' alright?
he be singin is heart out
as we lot do scream and shout,

Am just gonna mix it up...
cause I is a real country pup,
in these here hills is where ah sing
and where I loves to do ma thing,

So come on folks...
now don't be shy,
yer gotta join the fun
we'll all get high! Yipeeeee!

Enjoyed this one very much, Jenny. I could just hear all the YEEEEHAAAs in the background whilst I was reading it. Liked this stanza especially:- "We has a special guest tonight it be 'Sea Sick Steve' alright? he be singin is heart out as we lot do scream and shout..." Well done;-) Tina

well I really enjoyed the humor and the voice of the piece, it helps carry it through the rough points, mainly the rhyming style that trips up now and then. I have trouble reviewing poems as there's rarely enough content to get in depth, but I must say I had some real fun reading this piece. It's nice to see a poem that doesn't wallow in depression or self pity. :D (I'm harsher than most, I know, but I believe pos and neg must be mixed in a good review)

Hi mikepyro, you know I thought this one up while I was in the shower, it just came to me in about three minutes flat. It wasn't anything serious, or meant to be a brilliant piece, I just wanted to have a bit of fun.
