Deep calm

Of touch

As fingers

Slide across

Cold curves.

 

Body would

boast warm

Sensuality

If human,

Subjected to

Roving eyes,

Passions

Consumed in

Desires we dream.

I really like the contrast between cold and warm here. It's very good, almost like--not sure if this is a correct interpretation--the difference between caressing a statue and caressing a person. Maybe touching the same person, but at different times? I like it.

Hello Di,

I was thinking of statues of the human form when I wrote this. Just had this idea of how clever the artist that produce these wonderful statues must be. I've tried painting the naked body, but it always comes out wrong, which is why I admire them so much.

I tried to find a picture on pixabay, but couldn't find anything suitable enough for what I was seeing, so just left it to the readers imagination.
