Much is made of sunset,
That span of slow
Luxurious passing.
And in the end,
Wouldn't we all like
To go out that way?
Arresting and slightly
Doleful, day's end
Slipping gently
Across the fields
Sloping off to yonder hills,
Lamented and praised.
I would be that lengthening
Shade, that sliding form
Lingering to make you
Think fondly of glory
And better times.
And wonder.

very beautiful imagery. I'd
very beautiful imagery. I'd love to go out like the sun too. I love sunrises too- always such a serene time of day.

Lovely. Like a Rothko painting, it sets a mood. My girlfiend is asking for more. Is there more of this mood still to come?
