I'd sleep in your arms
You telling stories
Taking it in through my subconsciousness
Your hands so large
So strong, yet, soft and caring
Never raised in anger
Never a wrong word
Never a wrong thought or deed
The smiling gent
Never a frown
A vacant look
Always in another time and place
A traveller by right
The General's "General"
Now you travel with ease
One day, once again, I will travel in your arms

Isn't it real strange that
Isn't it real strange that all of our love emerges when folk die.
What's all that about?! Dx

You're lucky that you can do
You're lucky that you can do that. Some folk only realise how very important someone was to them after they die, and then it's too late. Makes you think xx

This is a lovely piece. Well written; thoughtful and thought provoking. My favourite line has to be 'The General's "General"' - so simple yet particularly telling. This has a great tone to it, too.
Sterling work!
