I got up this morning, did the usual thing, showered, breakfast, dressed. Got in the car with the traffic jams, weaving in and out of the hustle and bustle of the day.
Decided to have the usual coffee, would it be a Latte or Cappuccino.... suddenly everything changed! Scared, feeling trapped, wanting my Mum! Oh why did I come into THIS Café today! Why didn’t I just have one at home! In fact I wish I hadn’t been mean to my Mum last night! I love her, and NOW I wish I could tell her so I hope she knows I really do love her!
My Mum must be SO worried! I don’t want her to be.... but I am worried will I make it out alive? Don’t be silly I tell myself, I’m sure those outside will be doing all they can to get us out! I wish they’d hurry up! Some escaped soon after, we were held hostage, lucky them! I should be hungry and thirsty but I am not for that is the least of my worries, I just want to get out!
I have time on my hands, when I get out of here I will turn over a new leaf and be the best person I can. I will be nice to him at work who gets on my last nerve! I’ll be kind to my horrible neighbour; I will spend less on nonsense, which should help me get out of debt! I wasn’t sure if I should study for that degree course, I WILL do it, first thing tomorrow, I’ll go and enrol! I have SO many things that I now want to do. I almost see my life flashing before my eyes, hours I’ve wasted on the computer, sleeping in too late at the weekends, and other meaningless things.
More shouting now! I want the loo but I’m told I am not allowed to go! We’ve been held here hours now, I wonder when will it end? I wonder how will it end? I’m sure this time next year, I will forget all about this, I’m not the only one who is scared, we all are, it shows on their faces too!
There is a commotion! Help is on the way! PHEW! 17,16,15,14,13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,0 BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
