Grumpy Old Man

I read this at the recent York and London events. I think I managed to upset just about everyone in one way or another. Ho Hum. All of this is true.

Comedy Socks

This is the story I read at the recent York and London evenings.

Clouds and Princess Diana (IP)

Some of this is true - but most of it isn't.

OK, I think I've gone a little potty here but this came to me whilst mowing the lawn...

Wow!

It's not often that a 'traditional' poem actually keeps to rhyme and metre - but this does and I am impressed. There are some wonderful lines in there too - 'meadowlands of braided strands in winds and waves that wove her' , for example. This...

This is our Pick of the Day - a fine retelling of an ancient tale.

So many great lines in this - I want a lot more of it. Two great characters and a story that could go anywhere - and knowing you probably will. A fantastic read.

For those who don't know Laurie's first book, Ex, is available now from...

I Like It

Cleverly done - the haiku form is not easy - and the last one is thought provoking. I'm not sure that wind follows you - surely it's in your face if it's blowing off your hat!

I like this. It leaves a lot to be uncovered yet but I feel a cherry coming on once we have a little more!

Internet Influence

Posted on Tue, 11 Mar 2014

This really is very good. It demonstrates the appalling influence the internet has had on young sexuality. I guess schools and parents are doing their bit to explain to young teenagers that sex shouldn't be porn but I worry about it all....

I thought this was excellent.

I thought this was excellent. You create a real sense of place and have the dark foreboding of the real story neatly hidden in the trailer. No need to expand it - it says it all.

I like this very much indeed.

I like this very much indeed. It makes me think of old mother who's present day memories fade almost as soon as they happen - but she can still remember so much of her past. It's a beautiful and evocative piece.

I love the idea behind this

Posted on Thu, 20 Oct 2011

I love the idea behind this story - it's very good indeed - but I think that you could structure it very differently. Take a look at some of Roald Dahl's short horror stories and see what I mean. We need to feel how Anthony feels, to be taken along...Read full comment

Good story, well told. A few

Posted on Mon, 04 Jul 2011

Good story, well told. A few comments though. First of all this too long to be read on a computer in one go. I suggest that you re-post it chapter by chapter - you will get a lot more readers. Secondly, it is littered with spelling and...Read full comment
