Fulfilling to read, such a treat Di. I love 'bird song chips clear air', because they do, also love 'smelting life from light'. You've crammed so much quality in that I think I'll need to go back and re-read.
I like the way you've woven your adventures in the sensory experience; aromas, sounds, 'resembling a clutch of herbs'. Our brains seem to hang onto the sensory memories with astonishing accuracy, a song or the scent of a perfume acting as a time...
I enjoyed this poetic take on a creepy tale, especially how you set the scene in the woods and then take the reader through the story until its brutal ending and the childrens escape. I love the Pied Piper verses but it's rather long. This is...
Anemone, what a beautiful name for a fairy. I can just picture the twins, Alvar and Almalric playfighting and flying around the forest. I must say, I really envy their lifesyle, especially at the moment.
I love this. The picture you've painted is beautiful and pure escapism. Yes I do believe. I was once lucky enough to see a tiny tiny man, not a fairy, well not winged anyway. I was a small child but I know what I saw. I've written about it on...
Beautiful lines for the season Rhiannon. I haven't seen any celandines yet but lots of aconites out here with their little collars and of course all the primroses and daffodils blowing their trumpets, 'heralding the coming spring'. Perfect.
Thank you so much L for reading and commenting. I had to go back (far back) in time to find this voice and remember how much I wanted to resist everything than comes with becoming a woman. It didn't help having male relatives who were...

I really enjoyed this poem, all the answers there in the woods. I think we have the same notion of a god. Beautifully done.

Love this, so unique. In the end there is always a new way to create but I can't help thinking of that ear, all half-pecked and covered in dirt.
