There are winds,
howling like dogs; though the beige sun is out.
Roof tiles fall,
spatchcocked in the streets between the potholes.
Rain's coming
louring clouds threaten the craven sunlight.
The trees bend;
they'll break today; branches stolen by gale force
will sail down
flooded arroyos to inappropriate streets.

That sounds like a familiar
That sounds like a familiar weather forecast! Loved 'spatchcocked in the streets between the potholes' enjoyed. Val

Yes....nasty thunder storms
Yes....nasty thunder storms I hear. I'm taking a personal interest in Spanish weather at the moment.

I'm not sure that
I'm not sure that 'spatchcock' is the word you want.
When a chicken is 'spatchcocked' it is cut down its backbone so that it can be spread out flat and cooked in one piece on a griddle or barbecue. I don't quite see how a roof tile can be opened out in this sense.
