Some call it writers block
But I say going blank
Tried writing a short story
And honestly? It stank!
Started a dramatic poem
Soon ran out of rhymes
Writing a Victorian classic
Takes up WAY too much time
Lyrics didn't work for me
I kept going off the subject
THOUGHT about a biography
But didn't know who to put in it
Had a go at writing a play
Using just 500 words
Pressing backspace constantly
Starts to get on your nerves
I don't know how i thought of it
But it came to me some way
Why not write a poem
About having nothing left to say

For a person who has (or had) writers block, you're very good! I wish I can write like this when I have the writers block too!

I think we have all been where you were Holly. You may write an awful lot of what you consider to be your best work and no one will seem to notice. Then you may write a piece that you consider to be mediocre and people will rave. Like me you have taken the first step and hopefully, like me, there is now no going back...keep it up. Chris
