In Kingston town did Rosie Greaves
A friendly writing course decree
Where Thames the well known river ran
‘Long towpaths walked by many a man
Down to the open sea
Through open doors her students came
With lilting laughter and joyous shout
A lively crowd not known to shirk
Their tasks; some even did homework
That they then read out
From circled chairs in turn they speak
As each one reads their verse or prose
Then break for biscuits and cups of tea
This spread costs each one thirty ‘P’
Then back to work they goes
Until at last all reading done
Worksheets are handed round before
We study their content and lesson learned
Make our farewells to all concerned
And home through traffic’s roar.

Liked the spoofing of Coleridge. I've never done a writing course but I was temporarily part of a writing club and it reminded me of that.
