Smoke curls low;
incense – ivory musk
and patchouli.

Once more tonight,
I drown in long, slow
strokes of you in me;

near enough
to feel your breath
upon my breasts

your tongue, brush
my nipple...now
just far enough away

to scan the vista
of the years – binds
a first, shy kiss
to this.
