Slow moving, self protective, a carapace for parliament.
Shields raised; hide inner resentments, fleshyparts and body odour.
Thrust reasoned gladius, ensure that a man with scroll or papyrus
stands near, scribes your every encounter, winning grimace, pens
a heroes saunter to his spoil. Yet after, stubbled jaws mouth questions;
why not interlock, as armour, Lorica segmentata, each move dependant
on the other, then we could all go home.

Gosh, Lena...you had me rummaging for my dictionary with this one;-) A brilliant write, as ever. And dictionary or no, the vocabulary makes 'wonderful sounds' if you know what I mean;-)
