If you meet me, have some sympathy 3

It wouldn’t be long before they tracked me down and I needed someone on our side to take a fall and draw them away. The lower rank scum weren’t hard to identify– there was an investment bank nearby that was positively crawling with them. But it was too conspicuous there – they’d need persuading and I couldn’t do that for all the world to see.
Then I found the one I needed lurking on his own around the back, rooting through the rubbish there. He didn’t look up to much (barely a mid-morning snack for the bosses back home) but there wasn’t much time. I caught the surly, insolent look in his eyes and watched it change as I revealed myself – horns, wings, claws and all. There was no choice and he knew his time was up.
At least he followed his orders. I watched him break cover and skim away over the rooftops, a black flapping stain against the grey sky. The enemy were on to him like a shot and brought him down screaming somewhere just beyond the river.
Now there was the target to find. I wandered into the bank – it seemed a reasonable place to start off.
