I
Daylight stains…
your ghost-white scent;
pressing against my skin.
II
The light of day
shines through you;
I’ve never seen anything like it.
A white wound
expanding…
weighing me down,
a cast away match
setting my skin alight.
III
You turn away;
your back a black silhouette;
curved like a quotation mark.
Curling...
around my body;
engraving...
“whatever gives light
must also endure burning”
across my skin
with match-finger tips.
IV
I breathe in water;
let it ripple across my skin.
Blessed in flesh;
shining gold;
drowning in light.
My body-
a fleshy lighthouse;
enlightened.
An object of hope,
half overshadowed.

I really like number 3 Beeme. In the second, it's cast away.
