Flaming June

Deafened by cicadas,
tinnitus in the trees.
Blue sky and silver leaves
shiver in the breeze.
Music drifts like woodsmoke
over basking olived hills.
Rocking lights of fishing boats
sparkle where the palette spills.
I held this dream of summer close
whilst, outside, trees were cowed.
The windows shook and lashed with rain
as Flaming June it howled.

Yes, I liked this poem and I recognized June's glorious weather too. Tinnitus in the trees is a very memorable phrase.

Enjoyed, simple and compactly written too, — I liked that phrase too, and the 'cowed' trees. I expect you'll see the dream again soon though, and it'll be doubly appreciated!

Hello Parson Thru,
I too have been thinking of going down the Kindle route. Was it reasonably easy to do and is it expensive?

Hello Parson Thru, Thank you
Hello Parson Thru,
Thank you for all this information. My daughter suggested to me some time ago about Kindle and I took a quick peep and thought it didn't look too difficult but one can soon learn that it is a mistake to underestimate the level of difficulty.
Anyway, thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
