Leaving Home
By little bear

Her rooms'still empty- I stood for a while in there today, down by the skirting a hairband, the only thing she didn't take away.
A few short weeks ago she came home excited, talking of sharing with friends and renting a place, arrangments quickly made for this new venture, she didn't see the look which crossed my face.
Furniture and boxes piled on the landing (did all that fit into that small room?)
That pile not wanted, this one to be taken-we knew this would happen one day it just seems too soon.
Several journeys with the vehicle loaded, a new chapter being written-separate-in another part of town.
We used to complain about the volume of her music-if only it were easy to turn this silance down.
