Well my love it’s been great
together in spite of life’s
ups and downs. Each time I fell
you were there for me.
And our children a blessing
in spite of turbulent years
times of pain and lack of money.
Many friends didn’t make it
through their marital years. We did.
And I thank our good Lord for
the opportunity to know
someone like you. Bless you
my lady as we complete the 38th
Anniversary of our desires.

Women are like sand, my friend, quick to sink one when they're either taken for granted or ignored, and flighty when held too tight. Sorry to read the sadness in your sentences, C. I am blessed with a wonderful lady who has been a foundation of support and love all these (almost) 38 years of marriage. In fact I posted a tribute to Esther in a story called, "The Woman I Know" on ABC. R.
