I watch the flickering
light against my eyes
Canaletto skies playing in my mind
Jewels rocking gently on the
soft lagoon praise the
rougeing domes of the afternoon
Plates vibrate against the
surging foam, full astern
Cleated coils take the strain and groan
San Giorgio Maggiore
calls Ave, as Maria della Salute
comes around and steals my heart away

That's wonderful Kev. I
That's wonderful Kev. I want to say that the first two stanzas are my highlight (and they are for the reasons The Walrus has said) but then again there is not the slightest slip throughout the whole wonderful poem. This is one to be proud of and rightly so. Fantastic poetry you have given us here. Well done.
