Perfect childhood mornings
Unreachable but never lost
Pristine light of infancy
Glimpsed in half-awakeness
Washing machine mornings
Clothes hanging on the line
Invisible young mother
Father working overtime
Jet Provost mornings
Filling freshly-painted skies
Above the empty gardens
Where plastic soldiers die
Shining through a fissure
So unbearably clear
Ghost of my mortality
How did you find me here?

I just saw this pop up in the recently cherried list. I can quite see why it is there. This is a wonderful poem Kev.

Peaceful and positive and well enjoyed. Just blew a tyre on the M25 so I needed something light-hearted. Thanks for commenting on Sean.

Ah, dream-like nostalgia.
