I love this storm

I love this storm
It’s interfering with my TV aerial
Wi-fi has a walking stick and needs help crossing the road
Storm clouds sob and sob
the sky is drained of colour.
I hope you didn’t like that plant pot.
‘Oops,’ says the storm
‘clumsy me.’
This storm has ripped open its top
and is standing on a mountain with a machine gun
laughing.
This storm should be on Netflix
I’m watching it mesmerised
like the first time you used your new speakers
when life was suddenly Dolby
The storm is doing things I wish I could do
I have transferred full ownership of my anger to this storm.
dropped off my keys: ‘take it for a ride.
I’ve put you on the insurance.’
It’s taken on the anger of the world
all the people in need, struggling, suffering
don’t need to worry about it anymore
let the storm deal with our anger so we don’t have to
and then it will stop
the world will be silent again
and all of us will feel a little better
like that moment you stop crying
and start to make some lunch.

Refreshing take on storms. So
Refreshing take on storms. So long since I've read a poem that made me laugh, and is unlike the depressing stuff I read and write. Kudos to you, my talented friend.
