Love Endless Eternal and Unrequited

Where love is concerned perhaps it is time to admit the truth
I love only him who either by temperament or circumstance
Does not return the passion of my youth
Sir, do not flatter yourself that it is your charm, your wit or your physique that I admire
I am simply a slave to ill fated romance
Seeking the stone that breaks the wave, to feel my own soul crashing with desire
Ears tuned to melodies in minor keys
Bring deeply personal epiphanies
Some love stories end in woe
yet sadder still the tales that never start
His name my lips echoe endlessly, A confession whispered only to my pillow
Thus love's eternal entreaty never wanders far from my own heart
Unrequited love never to be recieved
is never truly given
so do not by my tears or smiles be deceived
The tears are for the stormy sea and the smiles for the darkened sky
Love that never sees the sun, is passion that by daily life is never compromised
Eternal shadows shelter me, I love you faithful and unseen as a ghost
Exiled from my lovers arms, I am constant
But if you should return my love
I'll leave you when you love me most

The first three lines of the second stanza are really good.

This is one of my favourites.
This is one of my favourites. It's a bit different in style from your other works- it has a more straighforward, almost prose-like quality. I'd be interested to see you try your hand at more prose pieces.
