Who am I?

I am a thousand unfinished thoughts...
I'm hundreds of questions,
most of them beginning "why...".
I am dozens of unfinished poems
that end half way through, 
just drifting off. Each one a story 
with no conclusion... left wanting. 
I'm a room, partially painted, 
roller stopped in the middle of a wall,
some of the edges cut in, 
the fresh paint clean against dirty 
plaster peeling.
Or maybe
I'm a closet of half finished projects,
abandoned hobbies and interests.
A roller skate, jumper with only one sleeve,
skirt pattern tacked and pinned,
hockey stick, balls of ribbon and string.
I'm a bookshelf - full of stories
of exciting lives imagined, written down,
read and forgotten.
I'm the lamp in the unused corner
of the house, dusty and rarely turned on.
I'm the blender, slow cook, the smoothie maker.
I'm several other appliances
that seemed like a good idea.
I'm nothing needed and rarely wanted,
the sum of everything and
the answer to nothing.
Im only accidentally existing daily
by chance and by momentum.
I'm passion,
I'm fire,
I'm waiting,
unused,
unfulfilled,
unwelcome,
disappointing,
I'm...

This reminded me somehow about the book of Ecclesiastes, where the imperfectness of everything, incompleteness in this life is shown. I think maybe I'll have to come back to this, there's so much there, so many different metaphors to think about, but if you live by faith, you won't really be accidentally existing, even if life seems such a turmoil, (esp when young children are around you!), and you'll be able to do some good, and supported! With all of those beginnings you've got lots possiblities; if you stick to one complete definition you'd limit yourself.  Interesting ideas.
