The Surgeon - (dedicated to my surgeon, Mr. Haneif - who was so kind)

He guides us past the earth's drop
and catches us lightly
in a fall of stars;
flies us through a flare that sears
bright through our hearts
at the thought of leaving.
He stands us up
at the foot of a hill
we think is a mountain,
and in the grasp of a steady hand,
we find ourselves
strong enough to make it
to the summit -
breathless, but more alive
than expected, with so many miles
and a lifetime ahead,
still walking on solid ground.

Bee...I just wish you could me smiling and crying, both at the same time, but the smile is winning through. How could it not? This wonderful poem is an inspiration to us all, no matter what obstacles lie ahead of us.
Sunshine winging its way to you as I write And that's a promise.

How often doctors of skill
How often doctors of skill also seem to have emotionally supportive skills and ability with communication also, which is extra-helpful, and encourages onward. Not that they can travel with us as a heavenly Father can, but all the human encouragement and help to make the most of the days, must be so appreciated. Much love, Rhiannon
