Come into the warmth

For our sanity
We must realise that everything is sand
Nothing of ourselves will remain
Only shadows in other people’s thoughts
What haunts you now will vanish into air
Let it go
Let dust be dust
Live for the warmth of the living
For the flood and ebb of breath
For the spirits of this world
As they live for you
What has passed has passed
Come into the warmth for as long as it may last

This is so well constructed, and the reference to the warmth of the living, echoed in the last line, gives it a particular depth and wisdom. Lovely piece of work.

A really valuable write that's so deserved of those cherries and more.
