My Midnight Song

This is my song that I sing into the night.
While everyone sleeps and waits for the light.
No one will hear my song nor care of my plight.
But I don’t mind, let them sleep through the stars of night.
I wish not to burden anyone who might be in view.
For my song is a sad one, of pain and rue.
My soul has condemned me to the jesting of others.
I am belittled and crushed by my human brothers.
I would try to please them, but why bother
I am told that I’m loved by the people who trick me.
I guess it’s concealed, why do they wish to hurt me?
Having been broken and bent for so very long.
I wish to feel whole again, and find somewhere to belong.
There are many other things that I wish to say.
But there is no time before the approaching light of day.
So I leave you with this, to all who feel wronged.
I am with you.
Join me, and sing my song.

ah, we're all bent and broken
ah, we're all bent and broken, none of us wise.

Sadly when things go wrong
Sadly when things go wrong whatever they may be, we're left with the scars caused by those who said they were doing it for the best. We know ourselves better than anyone and it's sad when people we thought we trusted let us down.
I do understand your words having been there myself.
Jenny.

Mr Tambourine Man
Mr Tambourine Man. It is not a good idea to not sleep at night. You should sleep at night and be awake in the day. Ask me. I learnt the hard way.
The rhyming is nice. Not ranting nor forced. Just my opinion.
