I got my ‘ol man’s freezer

Nothin’ in it but trays

Iced whiskey and mayonnaise

Bag a peas for hangover days

 

I’m a little mixed up

Please know that I am

Ice cream’s in the cupboard

gettin’  chummy with the strawberry jam

 

Things ain’t the same

since you went away

The dog he left me

We had nothin' to say

 

Hope you liked my letter

Written from the heart

I’m so damn doggone sorry

for messin' up ’til death do us part’

 

I'll clear out  the freezer

Be normal for a while

Get a new set of choppers

Put on a brand new smile

 

Dust off the red carpet

Give a little bow

Take down that Farrah-Fawcett poster

before I go and throw in the towel

 

Still got my ‘ol man’s freezer

some possessions speak, didn't jesus says the stones would cry out, a fride freezer has lots more to say.

Love the 'but for now' bridge between today and tomorrow. Lost count of how many times I've misplaced food in the kitchen when I'm not myself.

Ha. Thanks. I started it this morning after I went in my own freezer and realized there was nothing but suspect frozen food items. lol. Will try to get a proper song out of it. Cheers, Alex.

I did record it, Claudine. I had to do it a couple of times. I kept stumbling over that Farrah-Fawcett line. lol. I had to slow the pace just to get the words out. Ha.

Thank you, Jenny. I never wrote about freezers before. It was a new experience. It was just one of those lines taht come to you. And then you go with it.
