Hush at Last
By Richard L. Provencher

It takes a full moon
to remove the last throbs
of twilight
from my eyes—
a vigil full of dreams.
Trees now still
from their hurry
with the wind.
In the settle of my mind
life is full of space
and problems a fuzzy past
as I linger by a brook
knowing this tranquil moment
may not long last.

Hi Richard,
Hi Richard,
I like the way you describe wanting to savour every moment, for moments can be gone in an instant.
You also describe that wonderful feeling of being retired and having time to just be and enjoy those moments under a beautiful full moon.
A thoughtful poem and very much enjoyed reading.
Jenny.

A lovely sketch of sleep
A lovely sketch of sleep and peace, which I think in the end is what we all really long for.
Keep well Richard! Peaceful sleep, sweet sleep!
