There are stars that watch

After the sun has gone--

Substitutes for the destitute,

Their twinkling an epiphany.

An eye is drawn to their beauty,

Away from man-made stars.

And yet, several stars cower,

Replaced by comets and cosmic debris.

The derelicts see,

But they don’t mind.

What a nice change of pace
