The Labyrinth

On a patch of land where
the sheep used to graze
the owner has now built
a labyrinthine maze.
The earth was barren
he'd like you to know
and quite impossible
for vegetation to grow.
It consists of a novel
artificial grass topiary
that fences the whole
of a complex itinerary.
The entrance is easy
and not problematic
so you expect the exit
to be just automatic.
You have gone round
and are near the finish.
Then find that the task
has become devilish.
Turn right, turn left,
back to the same spot,
you're filled with panic
and are distraught
But help is at hand,
do not distress,
your smartphone
has got GPS.
Besides longitude
it will show latitude
but also the way out,
with absolute certitude.

We were standing on the tower
We were standing on the tower at the centre of one, and watching a friend finiding his way, and he started to get rather distraught, so we were able to guide him! . I think there's a rule that can help, but I've forgotten it. Nicely done again. Rhiannon

Don't you think GPS is a big
Don't you think GPS is a big cheaty thing to be doing? It takes all the fun out of a good labyrinth. Though I suppose it's no worse than what Ariadne did.
