misty grey rain

without you
outside hangs a wet
misty grey blanket
which enfolds and comforts
the earth
as
in my arms
i want to hold you now
fields waiting in sadness shades
yellow and brown
dull beauty smudged
reeds sway water ripples
quietly winding stream dreamy
always seeking
misty rain veils dull grey
cold over my longing for you
sleepy yearning
lost in drizzle drowsy thoughts
drab woeful sombre threatening
dark cloud drifting dim and hazy
rain grieves
wind mourns shivering aches
sorrow blows with cold grey mist
far
over waving rain grass plains
searching
for you

Striking visual metaphor of
Striking visual metaphor of the comfort and joy with enjoyed love present.
Made me think also of Narnia and the land locked in winter until Aslan returns to it, giving Life and joy..
