The Gift (14.08.2022)
Here,
hold out your hands,
I have a gift for you
that slips like sand.
Quick,
don’t take a breath,
you’ll let it fall
and make a mess.
Wait,
don’t move too fast,
this precious thing,
it will not last.
Tick,
you hear the clock,
the sun moves round,
as if to mock.
Turn,
and you’re alone,
I’ve been and gone,
the day has flown.
Share,
be generous
pass on the gift,
this thing called love.

Congratulations This is our Poem of the Week August 19th 2022
This is our poem of the week. Well done.
Do you think you could adjust the font and make it bigger, as it's a little sore on the eyes at this size?

I have taken the liberty
of adding an image so your accolade is more eye-catching on the front page. Image is from pixel.la via wiki commons and is CC0 licenced.

I have changed the font size,
I hope you don't mind. It really was very small and I'd hate for peope to have missed out on your excellent poem because they couldn't read it.
