Chemo 12

I am so proud. My Effie has gone through the night for the first time. For those who don’t normally read my work, Effie is my youngest, just 7 months old. She is the creation of my body and a very clever doctor, who isn’t half bad looking, and very kind. As regular readers know, she has caused me great loss of sleep, and extra work, and has left me very annoyed on many occasions.
I suppose I must take credit for providing the right ingredients. I have new sanitary products for her that are more generous, and have found that she really appreciates them when they are brand new - not reused. So from now on, each night, she will have a brand new outfit, and I will take an extra dose of calming medication, and a little extra food to help us through the night.
I suppose she might have the odd night, like right after I have chemo, when she will still be needful of extra care. And perhaps in 3 months time, when that is over, she will live much more comfortably in my world.

Glad you're finding ways to humour her, and get aware of her dislikes or moods! Useful but trying!

Hi Jean, an interesting perspective.
it's great getting to know Effie, like you're introducing us to a new family member. I hope Effie continues to behave and gives you the comfort you both deserve.
Take care.
Jenny.

I do like the way Effie has
I do like the way Effie has become a 'person' with moods, likes dislikes and preferences.Much like her 'mum' I imagine.
Keep smiling and making us smile Jean
