King & Queens.

In my view, Queen Elizabeth II had one fault. I love the Queen; I will let you guess what I think that one fault was. Despite this fault I always watched her on Christmas Day at 3pm. Disputes my husband’s protest.
I have no intention of watching it this year at 3pm, if it is on with the new King, as I am not a fan.
It seems someone, somewhere, has a wicked sense of humour for my Pastor asked ten of us to read, yesterday on Remembrance Sunday, where we would also have a two minutes silence. The Pastor, she had chosen and written prayers for each of us to read out to the congregation. She had chosen the topic and had typed it out for each of us to read.
Of all the subjects in the world she could have chosen and to who she could have given, she gave Me the prayer to read, called, ‘The King.’!
So, there I was yesterday, in my tiniest of voice, the microphone barely picking up my terrified voice, reading a prayer for the King. I couldn’t believe it and it was ironic, to say the least.
My husband and I, we are not a fan of the King or his wife, and Paul and I don’t usually agree on the same thing.
Last week, we heard a story that horrified us both! Someone had thrown an egg at the new King and his wife, they had missed. Paul and I think this person should go to jail, for that disrespectful, uncalled for act. There was NO need for it, they hadn’t done anything to that individual.
We think one, that egg thrower, should go to jail, do not pass go, do not collect £200, two they should be made an example of, so others in the future, can think before they do stupid things like that.
One month, inside should be enough time, for them to think of what they had done!

Louix IX was disembowled, set
Louix IX was disembowled, set on fire and pulled apart by horses. He never tried to nick the monarch with a penknife again.

We are still urged to pray
We are still urged to pray for our King, and rulers all (1 Timothy: 2:1,2). Despite their faults, big or small, they can still help to keep order and help the land and our lives. Whatever ups and downs Charles has had in his life, and however much he may still need to learn of the Lord, praying/singing 'God save the King' is a good prayer! Rhiannon

I agree! The egg thrower
I agree! The egg thrower should spend a shortish period in prison, and we should pray for the King and all our political leaders too!
