Relaxed Day In Summer

When drowsiness sweeps
us out of doors, and on the
limbs of trees blue-tits and
sparrows chorus to all who
hear.
Lay down sleepy head; but
don't close your eyes...look
up, inhale fragrance of
flourishing blooms;
humming bees wisdom
on the wing will fill your
honeyed heart with
sweetness.
Such are these miracles;
the gentle essence of
thoughts at moments
like this, when relaxed
therapy guides anxieties
away and nourishes till
end of day.

you have brilliantly evoked
you have brilliantly evoked the importance of trees! For birds and bees and us :0) I liked you having "flourishing" as I think of it as a conjuror sort of word and Spring flowering trees ARE magical. Well Done being POD :0)

Despite it being freezing
Despite it being freezing cold here this morning (currently 14 degrees in my house) you took me to a wonderfully hot summer's afternoon - much appreciated, and congratulations on the golden cherries!

It's such a shame you don't
It's such a shame you don't join us Jenny. It's honestly very easy to do it. Di was apprehensive at first but now she's a whizz! She doesn't have a microphone or a camera on her computer but she can still see and hear the readers. If you ever fancy giving it a go I'd be more than happy to help - we would love you to be in the audience!

Hello Jenny - do you have
Hello Jenny - do you have sound on your computer? I mean can you listen to things - music, or speech on it?

ok, well you should be able
ok, well you should be able to be in the audience, like Di, when we have our next event!
I'll ask Di which 'how to' video she found the most useful and let you know, and then when we next have a reading event I can give you a ring if you like and we can do a practice zoom thing as I did with di?
You can send me your phone number via email nearer the time

"had so many spams on my
"had so many spams on my account in the past, simply by trying to learn on my own, which then ends up costing me to get the computer sorted out....
When I ask anyone to show me what I need to do, I can immediately feel their impatience, as I'm so slow and need to do a certain thing about a hundred times for it to sink in, otherwise I forget and have to keep asking...it's all very frustrating."
Ah, I know that feeling so well! I am sorry I cannot remember how I did it, but THAT IS BECAUSE IT WAS SO EASY. I can remember struggling learning how to do Pick of the Day, and Claudine having to be incredibly kind and patient to get me through, but the zoom thing, there isn't really anything that can go wrong, I think? Please, anyone, correct this if I am remembering it wrong but
on your computer screen when you connect to the internet, there is the bit where you type where you want to go - usually here, ABC? Instead, type in
zoom.us
this is the zoom page. It says One Plan to Innovate, then some smaller writing, then a blue oval on the left, with white writing. Ignore that! Next to it, on the right, it says "Sign up, it's free" and that's what you click on.
Then it asks your year of birth, then your email, and before you know it, zoom is on your computer :0)
It will ask you to connect your microphone in an intimidating sort of way, but just click on the x beside this message.
Then, when Claudine sends you her link, you click on "join zoom meeting" and you have done it!
If I have made a mistake in all this, and you get stuck, just write down the problem and then leave the zoom page and put the problem on here, and I or someone more sensible will check what has happened and work out what to do :0)

I hope you do :0)
I hope you do :0)
I do understand though, about being scared of downloading things that will clog up your computer so you can't use it - I kept doing that till my partner explained about it being the sort of sites I was going on, as apparently it is little sites, (for me it was craft ideas for children, and alternative therapies), which are targeted by people planting viruses or crypto mining, because the little sites will not be able to afford proper anti virus stuff to protect themselves? So the second you go on these sites, even though the people who make them are good, the stuff bad people put on will wriggle into your computer. Apart from this problem, the other thing is "cookies". There is a way to clean these out, but you would need to be shown that and write it down. It took me AGES :0) The best thing to do is always say no, when sites ask if you will take cookies, they are never ever a good thing and will always slow down a computer. Oh, and Amazon is really bad for tricking you into paying for a premium service. I have accidentally done that. You have to take your time with Amazon because the clearest, easiest way to buy things is also the most expensive!
I hope this helps, a bit. I thought about it as like learning which plants and animals might be dangerous before going to the woods as a child - it isn't that EVERYTHING is out to get you, but it would feel like that if you sat on an ants nest to have a rest, then pulled yourself up on a dangling bramble! But that is not good if it means you are too scared to go to the woods ever again? Because there are wonderful things on the internet, too
