Up Disgwylfa Hill again

We hadn’t been since June 2015.
Steep climb up, gorse bushes and dead bracken –
most gorse bushes dusty and flower-less
but a few full of flowers.
Sky larks (singing their hearts out);
below us the steep valley
surrounded by layers of hills west and south, near and far
and more, east and north as we circled round the top;
two kite gliding gracefully around;
waterlogged grass in places,
filtering down to rushing small river below,
baa-ing echoes rising,
and sight on the far side of the valley of sheep standing in order –
a sheepdog or two apparently at work.

Good to see you so active
Good to see you so active with these recent rambles, Rhiannon. Another enjoyable walk with you. I like the images of the kites gliding and the sheepdogs at work. Happy Easter to you. Paul

Hi Rhiannon,
Hi Rhiannon,
isn't it great to be out and about? Although hard going it sounds like you had a wonderful view and those photos capture so much of the beauty of your poem.
Congrats on the well deserved pick of the day.
Jenny.
