June Roadsides

The leggy surge of waving cowparsley
obstructing the view for drivers on the lanes
is wilting, the view clearing;
now there’s the sudden surprise appearance
of dazzling, shorter whiter ox-eye daisies –
verge froth, shining in the sun as we pass by;.
And also the delicate pink gems of wild rose
are again decorating many hedges
– briefly, but so sweetly, such cheerful smiles:
my favourite flower..

Wonderful descriptions! You are a genius at describing so richly a place, in only a few words so I am hardly aware of reading before I am there. I loved " delicate pink gems of wild rose" they are the hedgerow treasure for me, too :0)
