A walk in my new neighbourhood

I am sliding in love
With this--dare I call it--home
This cosy bundle of streets
Unravelling for me to explore
These buttercream houses
Primly standing in a row
The occasional motorbike
Rumbling past my window
I glide towards my house
Like a duck into her pond
Liquid calm muffling the jangle
Of the glittering city
This cosy bundle of streets
Unravelling for me to explore
I wrap it around my head like yarn
And my brain
Exhales

Wonderful! I love the feeling
Wonderful! I love the feeling you evoke. Also yarn wrapped round your head for memory of routes, instead of how I knew it before as a way out of a maze
