December 28th
Glazed on a northern wintered beach.
The shoelace kelp tethering her boots.
Where are the tide times for setting sons?
A childhood once bouyant in advent.
Her blousy years hang wild on the horizon —
pending against traded winds. Maybe a prayer
to the long dead stars? The old gods that salt
spindrift tears dripping from this earth’s blue.

quick comment.....
I'll just say it like I feel it, minus the proper literature writers etiquette sprinkled with fairy dust and deep esoteric metaphors......
I learn a lot from you Ralph... I read your content, the past & presence, for better or what-ever. Point is your`re dam good at this. Fact is you have gravity, influence & insight. I can travel in your writings.... I don't comment to much, I'm busy, in my free time I come here and read as an escape, therapy, meditation in a way, poetry is my 1st drug of choice here.... my point is your writings matter to a readers like me & struggling to develop my own writing style. I have a story(s) to tell, but I cant tell that story, explain it, or get readers to travel in it, unless I learn form artist like you (seriously)..... I wish I had time to join in on some your readings and events, timing is everything and in my line of work time is a fluid commodity that don't line up with scheduled events right down to friends and family in millimeters & milliseconds. But, like you, I have a passion for what I do. In those moments of writers doubt, fears, edits, choosing the right words, and at ABC framing it into 17,200 characters... know some of us here, whether they admit or not, are lead by gravity in what you write. Likes, dislikes, the tone of the mood you're in, time of year, etc. is secondary compared to the direction the words you take us in.....
Leaders & creators, creators & leaders....... you have followers, influencer know that you are.
There... I said it...
Peace in 25... all good
Thank you*
Kris
