Board Room Attacked by Dogs of War
Slugard P. Fineswallow, spokesman for SAGARD (Screen Actors Guild
Animal Rights Division), announced today that various canine TV actors
represented by his union had staged a massive work action on Thursday
by interrupting the Monthly Board Meeting of the Ralston-Purina Company
and presenting a list of demands to the sponsor company.
Mr. Fineswallow added that the wild-dog work action was led by the
feisty union organizer nicknamed FIDO. Frustrated by the continued
disappearance of the Gravy Train Dog Chow Chuck Wagon just before union
members were able to corral a meal, FIDO declared that this practice
constituted cruel and inhumane working conditions. "Management's
refusal to consider our demands led to this action," FIDO declared. "We
won't be fooled again."
There was no immediate response from company Chairman Jack B. Nimble or
company President Jack B. Quick, but company public relations spokesman
Fleeh Bailbonds called the action "intemperate and messy" and refused
further comment.
