Rose Seed

I give you no flower, or red satin heart.
I give you a rose seed. It starts small and delicate.
Only with time and attention shall it grow.
After much patience and work.
It may grow to a striking flower.
It's splendor comparable, only to our love.
It's aromatic fragrance equal only to your beauty.
However it must not be ignored. Or it shall wither and die.
Even with care and consideration it may prick you with thorns.
And cause you much pain.
