The contest calls for twenty lines,
A mere one-sixty words:
What about the adjectives?
What about the verbs?
What about the synonyms,
The antonyms as well?
What about the narrative,
I wish my verse to tell?
Are such stifling limits
A fair test of one's skill?
For I've penned six score poems
And most don't fit the bill.
Does avoiding pears and apples
Really make a peach?
Is writing to a formula
A prize beyond my reach?
The contest calls for twenty lines,
A mere one-sixty words:
What about the adjectives?
What about the verbs?
.
.

Iv'e looked at this contest
Iv'e looked at this contest and you are right kheldar, it just does not feel enough words at all and I read a previous winners and it seemed abit lightweight if you know what I mean. Really liked this. :-)
