Summer breeze swept across the cascade of trees, the branches rustled and their healthy roots produced wealthy, lubricant textures. Pavement on the streets is scorched by the blazing sun and the atmosphere smell fresh and cool. As people passes each other, cars rush through traffic and song of happiness is being broadcast on the radio. Grasses stood firm on a neighbor's backyard and behind the window, lies a boy watching television. His expression remains captured by the sensitive flickering of the screen and small subtitles that appeared below it. Then slowly, peeking near the boy's shoulder, it reveals an animated cartoon.
“Well, Mr. Detective, I'm surprised that you haven't found any clues in attempt to resolve this case.” the coated man sneered. “Then if you'll excuse me, I have more troubling matters to attend.” As his body turned and walked to the door, a voice boomed: “Not now, Doctor Steven. I sympathize your feelings regarding my poor performance and lack of duty. But I'm equally surprised that you haven't notice the pile of evidence that's stacked in front of you.” Doctor Steven froze in place and his head twists, looking at the Detective behind him which is standing there, unperturbed. The trench coat flows below his legs forming a hollow appearance and with arms sink deep in his pockets, he exclaimed: “Surely, you must have gotten some idea of what this case may lead us and who's responsible for this crime.” Doctor Steve gave him a blank stare and replied: “Have you found a suspect?”
A document slapped on the table and flipped open, showing a photo along with boxes of descriptions: The victim discovered, was brutally mutilated in a tub and with the faucet damaged, it overflows the bathroom. The crimson water shows a gruesome murder and a treacherous case that puzzled many investigators. A note was attached next to the image, reading “refer to Case 45”
The Detective sat down on the sofa, legs crossed and the illuminating lamp placed next to him covers his visage. Eyes closed, he explained, “We've found several disturbing connections toward the victim and there's also a similar case that's practically unusual.” The Detective continues: “His name is Jacob Williams, non-sentimental and mentally deranged murderer. The record displays him as a reckless serial killer and his enjoyment through this, was dissection. Although his mind obscured by insanity, he still pertains rationality and manages a normal life. Unexpectedly, his marriage gone sour and this determined that his son, was also diagnosed with this illness.”
Doctor Steven's expression grew cold and pale, old memories seem to haunt him. He fluttered his hands and responded: “I-I don't know who're you talking about.” The Detective's eyes drift open and the pupil close together on Doctor Steve, delving deep into his secrets. With a demanding tone, he said: “Then tell me! Who's the real murderer behind this mystery? Jones William Junior.” The screen slammed into darkness.
