VELVET

Names aren't supposed to hurt you,
Yet some words can mean so much.
And your warm, accepting words,
Are like velvet is to touch.

How nice to 'feel' some velvet;
Something sweet and genuine.
Your words of encouragement,
Are kind and most comforting.

Words cannot amount to much,
Unless communicated,
And for those you've shared with me;
They are appreciated.
