Now, let's see. Yes. l am DEFINATELY working at 8am. Just have a little look at my sheet of A4 that l carry around. A diary is too wee for all the crap l need to write in it!
8am till 12.30pm shop
1pm panto
5pm Snowman Ballet
8.30pm cleaning job
I should get back home by around 11pm.
It's really handy that the couple l clean for are going out for dinner. That gives me plenty of time to dive in, run around like a headless chicken with a Dyson in my left hand and a duster in my right. Music on, job done.
At this time of year, l lose about half a stone, easy. l haven't got the inclination to make a meal, so it's cereal, porridge, toast for me. Thank goodness for those wee plastic containers. I have a good few of those babies to see me through the day. Can't do without my screw top cups!
I eat fruit running down the street, hopping on a bus. I make phone calls and sort my make up on the bus! I have not been in my lounge for about 2 months, as when l do get in, l jump straight into a bath, fully clothed, munching on some bit of food l find in my fridge. M and S is next door to my shop, so l buy cooked chicken, salady stuff and eat that with some nice bread and cup of tea.
I have to plan and negotiate every step l take. When most folk are taking their time to saunter along the main street, l'm having a panic attack because l have ten minutes to run up to/down from wherever l have been working, to get to the next job. I ain't complainin', just reflecting on how busy and crazy my head is. And I love all my 3 things l do. I like and respect the family l clean for, love the two theatres, and the big store l sell from is gorgeous, with the massive, and famous huge Christmas tree situated in our menswear department. Each day, a choir or some kind of festive collection are gathered under the tree to sing or play to the shoppers. It's wonderful to hear the bagpipes, or sweetest little children singing carols from one of the many private and very posh schools around the city. The teachers are all loud, bellowing types of chaps, brimming with confidence, l guess.
I have to remember how fortunate l am that l have an abundance of natural energy, healthy body and l haven't quite lost my marbles. Yet ..
So, in conclusion, although l wake up every day at silly-o-clock, worrying where l have to be during my long day, l am very thankful that l will eventually be able to say, 'you earned your money today, D' ..
Ta ta the noo ..
